Fantastic casting move.
I think they nailed the Spock character well - very close resemblance. What I don't like is the fact that they are bringing back original characters for cameo appearances in the new film. If Trek really wants to get a fresh start, they should leave part of it's past behind. The Kirk character will be key. Wonder who they'll get for that. 12/25/08 is still a long way off.
